Thank you for your interest in the SciPy India 2026 Conference. Please read these terms and conditions before you buy a ticket.

In short

  • Tickets are sold only on KonfHub, by our fiscal host AFROST. GST and platform fees are added at checkout.

  • All sales are final. There are no refunds, cancellations, exchanges, or transfers, including if the conference is rescheduled or cancelled for reasons outside our control.

  • You must be 18 or older to attend, and you will need to show your ticket and a valid ID at the registration desk.

  • The Code of Conduct applies throughout the conference.

  • Talks on the conference day are recorded and published. Photographers will be present, and you can pick up a sticker at the desk if you do not want to be photographed. We respect your privacy and will make reasonable efforts to avoid capturing you in photos or videos if you indicate your preference.

  • We do not share your details with sponsors.

1. Definitions#

  1. On this page, “you”, “holder”, “bearer”, and “purchaser” refer to the person who buys or holds a ticket to the SciPy India 2026 Conference. “We”, “us”, “our”, “SciPy India”, “issuer”, and “provider” refer to the organisers of the SciPy India 2026 Conference.

  2. Tickets are sold on our behalf by our fiscal host, the Association for Promotion of Free and Open Source Technologies (AFROST), a registered non-profit in India, through the ticketing platform KonfHub.

  3. By buying, being allocated, or holding a ticket to the SciPy India 2026 Conference, you agree to these terms and to the SciPy India Code of Conduct.

  4. If you do not agree with any of the clauses below, or with the way they allocate risk, please do not buy a ticket or attempt to enter the conference premises.

2. Ticket prices#

  2. The ticket categories are sold in the following windows:

    • Early bird: until 19th October 2026.

    • Regular: 20th October 2026 to 8th December 2026.

    • Late bird: 9th December 2026 to 18th December 2026, subject to availability.

    • On-the-spot: we may sell these at the venue on 19th December 2026 for the workshop day and on 20th December 2026 for the conference day, for that day only and subject to availability. We do not guarantee that on-the-spot tickets will be sold on either day. On-the-spot tickets do not include lunch or a conference T-shirt.

    • Student, corporate, and contributor: throughout the sales period.

  3. Student tickets are for students only. You will need to show a valid student ID at the registration desk, and if you cannot, you will not be granted entry on a student ticket.

  4. These prices are exclusive of taxes and fees: Goods and Services Tax (GST) and KonfHub’s platform fees are added to these prices at the checkout page.

  5. Our ticket prices are final.

3. What a ticket is#

  1. Depending on the ticket you buy, it is a revocable licence to enter the allocated venue when the SciPy India 2026 Conference is scheduled to be held there.

  2. The licence includes the revocable right to attend the SciPy India 2026 Conference.

  3. We may revoke this licence at any time, at our sole discretion, without prior notice or compensation. If your licence is revoked, you will not be granted entry at the venue.

4. Buying tickets#

  1. KonfHub is our sole authorised source for tickets to the SciPy India 2026 Conference. If you obtain a ticket from any other source, you bear the risk of it turning out to be counterfeit or reported as stolen. We may dishonour such tickets and declare them void.

  2. You assume full responsibility for your ticket once you receive it. We accept no liability, financial, legal, or otherwise, if a delivered ticket is misused, stolen, lost, damaged, destroyed, or otherwise rendered unusable.

  3. Tickets may not be resold, copied, reproduced, or misrepresented in any form. You may not use a ticket for any promotional or advertising purposes, including sweepstakes and competitions, without our prior approval. Any proven record of such activity will result in the immediate seizure and cancellation of your ticket.

  4. Tickets cannot be redeemed for cash, credit, or any other benefits.

  5. We may investigate any violation of these terms. In the event of a conflict, our decision will be final.

5. Refunds, cancellations, and rescheduling#

  1. All ticket sales are final. There are no returns, exchanges, cancellations, or refunds, and tickets are not transferable to another person.

  2. If you are unable to access any part of the venue because of delays, government regulations, organiser policies, weather, emergencies, a venue shutdown or evacuation, or any other reason, you will not be eligible for a refund or future credit.

  3. If the SciPy India 2026 Conference has to be rescheduled to other dates, you will not be eligible for a refund.

  4. If the SciPy India 2026 Conference is cancelled in its entirety for reasons outside our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government announcements, strikes, and the like, we will not offer refunds, postpone the event, or provide a comparable “make good” option.

  5. If we cancel the SciPy India 2026 Conference in its entirety for any other reason, we have the sole and absolute right either to reschedule it or to decide whether to issue refunds. If a refund is issued, it will cover only the face value of the ticket. Shipping, processing, and handling fees, taxes, platform fees, and other charges will not be refunded under any circumstances.

  6. Any loss arising from foreign exchange fluctuations at the time of a refund is borne by the purchaser. We cannot be held liable for it.

  7. You buy your ticket of your own free will. As such, you agree not to initiate a chargeback claim or dispute with the provider of the credit card, debit card, or any other payment method/mode used for the transaction. Further refund, return, or cancellation requests will not be entertained.

  8. Our decision in all of these cases will be final and binding.

6. Entry to the venue#

  1. The SciPy India 2026 Conference is a “rain or shine” event.

  2. The minimum age for attending the SciPy India 2026 Conference is 18. By buying a ticket, you confirm that you, and anyone you are buying tickets for, are 18 or older at the time of purchase.

  3. If it is established at the venue that an attendee is below the minimum age, they will not be granted entry, and no refund, full or partial, will be issued.

  4. On entering the venue, you must present your ticket and a valid identification document (ID) at the registration desk. By presenting an ID, you confirm that all the details on it are accurate and up to date.

  5. By buying a ticket and presenting it at the venue, you consent to us collecting certain information about you, such as your name, picture, date of birth, gender, and address, for verification and storage.

  6. We follow a zero-tolerance policy towards the possession or use of unauthorised drugs at the venue, and towards any behaviour that can be interpreted as lewd or obscene. If you are found in possession of prohibited items or engage in objectionable behaviour, your participation in the event will be terminated immediately and your ticket will become void.

  7. The SciPy India Code of Conduct applies throughout the conference.

7. Liability#

  1. We do not take responsibility for personal or financial damage caused to you at the venue, or for any items lost, stolen, or misplaced at the venue.

  2. Claims for financial reimbursement on these counts will not be entertained.

8. Disputes#

  1. In all disputes between the ticket holder and the ticket issuer, the decision of the ticket issuer will be final.

  2. If a dispute cannot be resolved, we will seek the assistance of an independent third-party arbiter.

9. Changes to these terms#

  1. We reserve the right to change, revise, or amend these terms and conditions, or to add or remove sections, without prior notice to you.

  2. Such changes will be published on this page.

  3. These terms apply from the date on which you bought your ticket.

10. Privacy policy#

  1. We will not share participant information with sponsors.

  2. We collect anonymised participant information for analytics purposes.

  3. KonfHub processes the information you enter at checkout. Please see the KonfHub privacy policy for how KonfHub handles your data.

11. Photography and video recording#

  1. We will have photographers at the conference, and the talks on the conference day will be video recorded and published on our YouTube channel after the conference. Workshops are not recorded.

  2. By buying a ticket, you confirm that you are aware of this and agree to be photographed and recorded.

  3. If you do not wish to be photographed, you may collect a sticker at the registration desk and wear it visibly on your person. We will make reasonable efforts to respect this.
